Futeboltotal.com is the largest Brazilian soccer community on the internet. With a proprietary news agency, convering the biggest national and international competitions, National Teams, live scores, columns, sports marketing and a lot more.

Troughout the years, the ever expanding international market has forced Futeboltotal.com to globalize and become available in different languages with specialized content for each region.

This was possible with the help of [021 Solutions]. After many years relying on freelance programmers and multiple coding styles, the first issue identified was the lack of consistency in the coding. Originally developed in ASP and MS SQL Server, multiple JavaScripts were added as well as PHP scripts mainly for banner ad management.

The scope of the project consisted of four phases:

- Server migration (Win 2003 to Red Hat Unix)
- Code cleanup and recoding in PHP/MySQL
- Multi Language launch (English, Spanish and Portuguese)
- Search Engine Optimization (meta tags, hotwords, etc)
